Yes, you can. In 1.8 and 1.9, you can turn on the multimedia filters by going to the Admin panel and choosing Modules>Filters> and clicking on the eye icon to turn on the filters.
On the main page, turn on editing, choose Add a resource>Label. Click on the html button to enable the input of raw html code into the label field. When you create a Gizmoz movie, you'll be given a choice of embedding in a number of web 2.0 environments as well as just copying the raw code. Copy the code and paste it into the html box in Moodle. DO NOT turn off html view before saving it or Moodle will likely strip out part of the code. It worked fine for me. See?
