How to follow conversations which interest me?

How do I follow conversations (forum threads) which interest me?

For example, I have posted several questions on Moodle. I don't know whether they've been updated. How shall I locate them?

Secondly, what if I don't want to post in a thread but do want to follow its development. How do I do that?

One way to solve the problem I guess is to use the Bookmarks feature:

However, is that a stable/supported module?

Hi George,
To watch forums, go to the "Forums" icon in moodle.org. There you will see which forums you are subcribed to. If you are interested in one that says "no", click on the "no" and it will change to "yes". I imagine this will give you more than you want, as moodle does not have topic level subscribing, just forum level subscribing.

I wonder then, whether topic-level subscribing is something that Moodle is developing. It seems like a common sense feature to me, especially because other popular free forum software like phpBB has had that feature for a long time.

Any ideas (anyone) on when this feature may appear?

Topic level subscribing is a major problem I think. Currently although of course I'm grateful for this support forum I am completely SWAMPED with its input - about 95% of it is irrelevant to my needs nor can I respond usefully. That's about 60 spam posts a day!!!!!

I am concerned my users are going to feel the same so any news on this is anxiously awaited.
