We added some custom roles to our moodle installation and are now experiencing some weird problems.
The roles we added are an advanced teacher who additionally is allowed to override roles and a teacher with less capabilities, let's call it "light teacher". Advanced Teacher has the roleid 8, while normal teacher has roleid 3.
If someone requests a course now and we approve this course, the requester is added to his course as this advanced teacher not only as a normal teacher. To make it it a bit more odd, if we change the sorting of the roles in the roles section, the default role for course requester changes too. Now it becomes the light teacher.
We still are using moodle 1.8.2 and it seems not to be resolved by 1.8.4 in our testing environment.
Does anyone experience the same or a similar problem?
