Thanks to Mathieu Petit-Clair's post regarding the themeable admin features in 1.9 i was able to fix my admin menu which was displaying 'closed folder' and 'open folder' instead of showing icons. Its linked here
Somehow, 1.9 is now inserting my theme's bullet point images when listing courses on the frontpage. (note the orange dots left and right and the garbled output of the second listed course):
Is this a new bit of CSS in the 1.9 standard theme? or is my own custom theme CSS clashing with new CSS? I checked the themes documentation but there is no obvious indication of changes from 1.8 to 1.9...
Some pointers will be greatly appreciated!
It looks like a custom theme css problem. I have seen something similar happen once when position of login block had been changed (up) and somehow sideblock witdh was not working.
Can you give any address where to check the source code - I think this is easy to fix but I need to see the css tags to be able to help you. Or can you sent your theme (zip package) to my email (check my profile) if your site is not available?
Simple cure: remove the float left declaration from :
Thanks for checking Werner's theme, Joseph!
I had just 12-hour working day and when I came home and opened my PC theme css had been fixed.
Really nice and fresh-looking theme, Werner!
Well, Joseph, as you can see your recommendation fixed it. Is there some specific change in 1.9 Standard CSS which caused this? or is it just a matter of hit and miss when upgrading? any place where Standard theme development is documented or changelogged?
And thanks for the complement Mauno - positive feedback from Finnland is always appreciated! As you can see our theme is a reworking of the ever-popular Autumn theme ;)
Actually, I see that in current 1.9 standard theme styles_layout.css stylesheet the float:left has been commented out! Probably someone found some incompatibility there.
/* float:left; */
As far as I know such minor changes are undocumented.
All the best,
