Dear all

In a topic that has been done to death!

I have Moodle 1.8 setup perfectly, and now am trying the dreaded LDAP authentication. Using various software I have found out the configuration for my LDAP, but I don't think I have a Bind user assigned.

When entering my settings (dc=macserver,cn=users) I keep getting a LDAP server cannot be found. Is there anyone out there who is willing to help an overworked and underpaid I.T. teacher set up user authentication on moodle?

Can you paste your current LDAP settings here? (use fake passwords and usernames).
