Hello,

Just upgraded my development instance to 1.9 Beta 4, an received the following error:

A server error that affects your login session was detected. Please login again or restart your browser.

I chmod'd directory and ownership several ways to curcuvent the problem, but it remained.

I am running a RHE 5.0 Linux Box

There was no way to get around this error. Rolled back my backup.

Cheers,

Brent.

Hello,

i had this problem 2 days ago (if i remember well), and an update to a newer version solved the problem.

I have created a bug for this problem:

http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-13701

Note the comments of the apache log files in the bug to indicate not enough parameters for the cookies.

I am on the newest version of 1.9 from the website when this issue occurs.

Petr fixed this problem last night, and it is now part of the current download.

Yeah - i'll bet you were running PHP 5.1.x, yes?

I think Petr was looking to implement the newer (from 5.2) httponly parameter to setcookie(). Our 5.1 setups were spitting this error too - but now all ok smile

Yup.

I was using:

php-devel-5.1.6-15.el5

It works like a charm, and is much faster with all the new bug fixes and optimization.
