Web services

Hello all,

I've seen the Alfresco and Moodle integration post. I want a more alfresco push rather than moodle pull method. I had envisaged a custom action (an action is something that can be scheduled to happen due to a particular event) that would push a document from alfresco into moodle for a particular course.

Most of the work would be on the Alfresco side but I would need web service access to moodle to publish content to a particular course.

I need to be able to do this with moodle 1.9 (and nothing later) as this is the version that we'll be going live with (although it would be useful to know if it will work with 1.8). I've looked at the XMLRPC API but am unsure if it will do what I need. I'd prefer to use REST but it doesn't look like this is in 1.9?
