Accessing a Lesson indirectly

Accessing a Lesson indirectly

This might be a bit strange but I assure you there is a reason behind it.

I want to create a lesson activity that is not accessed directly by clicking the lesson's link but rather the user will be redirected when he clicks on another link ( ex:resource) that would do few things before presenting the user with this lesson.

I know it is possible to hide a lesson but if I do that it becomes hidden literally speaking so I can't access it at all.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks,

Hi Maram,

it's not perfect but you could create your lesson and then hide it in a topic block that is not visible i. e. in topic 11 and you have set your topics to 10 in the course settings. The links works.

Lesson itself has a feature you could use for this. I haven't used it myself, so I'm not recommending it, but you might want to try it and see if it works for you.

Suppose the pre-lesson material is A and the main lesson is B. If you can somehow manage to structure A as a lesson, then using the "Link to an acivity" option in A, you could link directly to B on the last page of lesson A.
