1.9 Beta 4: Site Admin Block>>Grades>>Grade Category Settings
I am looking at the Administrative settings for Grades in Moodle 1.9 Beta 4. Can anyone tell me exactly what the checkbox next to Advanced is designed to do? I fully understand Force, but the Advanced setting is unclear to me. Thanks so much.

Hi Katherine,
The advanced checkboxes are for selecting items which are only displayed when a teacher clicks the "Show advanced" button when adding/editing a grade category in their course gradebook. The grade category settings documentation includes links to a couple of videos which demonstrate the effects of these settings.
