Hi

We are using attendance in moodle 1.8.2 in our institute. May I give the following suggestions.
  1. More than one attendance for a course might become necessary in certain situations. Let the faculty decide whether more than one attendance is needed than the software.
  2. Sometimes a faculty may teach two different sessions on a particular day itself. As of now, it is not possible to do it. Only one session for a day is possible now. Is it possible to have two sessions for one day but on different hours. As of now, hours are not indicated in the sessions.

To add a few more..
  1. Is it possible to have log facility for attendance - this means that i know when the attendance of a particular student was last modified, as in grading of assignments.
  2. The excel report of attendance, does not have the % attendance column which is seen in the moodle report. It may be a bug....

I second the idea of being able to have more than one attendance session per course or day (especially the latter).

I have a tutor who teaches mainly by distance using Moodle. He has Chat Rooms and Forums, some twice on the same day which have required attendance for those off campus. Some students are at the school and don't have direct access online, hence the need for the attendance block.

Could an 'hours' parameter please be included in Attendance? This would mean more than one session per course, but I'm sure we can accommodate this! thoughtful
