Zipped pictures

Hi

Can anyone give some advice on using zipped picture files within Moodle, we have a zipped file containing pictures of a trip, we uploaded it to Moodle and want to be able to allow people to view the pictures by clicking on a link.  Due to server restrictions if you click on the link it makes you download the pictures from the zipped to view them.  Is there a way of linking a zipped file without having to download the contents to view it?

Hi Angela,

If you use the Moodle file manager to browse to the directory containing the zip archive, you should see an option labelled Unzip - this will extract the images into the current directory, allowing you to link to individual pictures.
