Problem with NWiki for Moodle 1.8

Hi All,

I just have installed NWiki for my Moodle 1.8 and everything seems to be working fine. After I have logged on with my admin, NWiki installs as espected.

But...

When I create a page with the editor as admin, then I have the "extended" version for inserting an image. I.e. I can upload an image.

Logging on as a "normal" user reveals the OLD interface, before installing NWiki.

Can I activate NWiki for other users?

Hi Raf,
for (required) backwards compatibility issues NWiki supports the old wiki format so the "old" pages (that seems for what you're saying have been migrated successfully estupendo

) remain in the old wiki format.
The wiki activity lets you choose the default editor (NWiki, (old)ewiki and (ecs!)HTMLeditor ). This editor will be used in the new pages when they are created (note the Choose editor combo box).
Another thrick that may be useful is to enable the "blocks on activities" sitewide at the admin ... then "boom" you can as a teacher add some useful blocks for the wiki like this ones
Anyway, if NWiki is in your moodle there is no way in hell that the old wiki appears, is just an interface ressemblance issue.

Another problem.

We have Moodle 1.8.4. Despite problems with earlier versions of Nwiki, I am determined to keep trying. Changes in the way Nwiki is installed and the new version prompted me to install Nwiki on our clean version of 1.8.4.

The set up went smoothly all the tables set up, but when I returned to the front page withe the exception of the administration block the page was blank.

Similarly entering courses showed blank pages as well.

On viewing the database I was surprised to find that although the set up process confirmed that the tables were set up correctly, I could find no evidence of the in the database.
