Attendance Activity Link not workin

When users click on the link for attendance under certain courses I get this error:

Attendance activity not found in this course!

I dont understand what the issue is, if they click on the link under the week for attendance it works fine but the one under the activity does not.  Please advise!  I just updated to 1.8.4+ is that a problem?

I not at all has understood where it works and where not.
Remember you should add Attendance activity in each course where you want to use it!

I fixed the problem last night. The link i was talking about was the link in the Activity Block for each course. The problem I found was that the modinfo field for my mdl_course table in my database was set at ntext and because of that not only were my resource titles not displaying in my course but the link for the Attendance Mod in the Activity Block was not working either. Hope that helps you understand and thanks for the response.
