Hi Leslie and Jason,
Quick commens, not Chris's style but....

Tip 1. We open the PPT with OpenOffice Impress and create a webpage folder with OOI. This both creates a series of slide images of a good size and allows some last minute tweaking in OOI of the original PPT, when things don't look right. And they all have a name like Slide1 ...Slide11, Slide12 etc (see tip3).

Tip 2, we zip all the images we want in a folder, then upload zip file to Moodle, then unzip it in the folder we want.

Tip 3. I found copying the image file path in the picture insert screen from one Lesson Page, then copying the image file path in another blank Insert screen on the next page, then changing just the file name from say Slide50 to Slide51, was easier than hunting up the file in a long list.
