I've just checked back to a course to review the feedback for a particular participant. Although all the comments are available in the analysis the "Show responses" area has been cleaned up when the former students have been unassigned as a result of the "Unsubscribe users from courses after:" site wide clean up.
Is this intentional? Can it be changed? We need to be able to identify specific former student feedback beyond the date of their enrolment.

Do you mean those participants/users have been a) unenrolled from the course or b) totally deleted from the users database of your moodle site? This is not the same.
I have just checked with the Questionnaire module and the identity of (non-anonymous) questionnaire responses is preserved even after the respondent has been either un-enrolled from the course or totally deleted from the site.

Sorry, I do not understand what you mean. Do you mean you are using the Feedback module rather than the Questionnaire module on that site of yours?
