hello everyone
i want to develop a dba repository system in java

i am giving a brief idea about my project
dba repository syatem will keep the track of complete
data right from installation details() of the database system(like sql server ,ms access ,oracle etc),databases ,tables,creating reports,
any changes made in the data base should be caught immediately
either made directly by the application or through any program

i am not able to find out how to collect the installation details of the db system in java

can any one provise me with the api from which i can collect the the info

need it urgently!!!!!!!!!
