Re: Moodle documentation: GHOP Issue 4 Produce a small brochure explaining Moodle to high-school staff
Greetings, Gustavo!
In general, this looks very nice.
I have two suggestions:
1) I think you might want to rephrase "Instructors can easily embed multimedia in lessons and link to other web resources". I think I know what you mean, but the word "lessons" also means lesson as a moodle resource type. Could you find another word that would not allow for the possibility of confusion?
2) Above the moodle box graphic you have "administration for instructors easy and flexibility". I think instructors should not be capitalized (it is not really a proper noun). How is administration flexible? I think this wording might be improved. At the least, perhaps you should say "Administration for instructors is both easy and flexible."
3) "Students can easily submit work for grading and peer review through Moodle." With this one, I would disagree that peer review is particularly easy. I think it would be good to highlight tasks that teachers are probably very interested in and things that are very straightforward in Moodle: the variety of assignments (on-line text, uploading of files) and on-line quizzes.
You have packed a lot of good information into a small space! Great job!

Re: Moodle documentation: GHOP Issue 4 Produce a small brochure explaining Moodle to high-school staff
Aha! Well, now I have more things I would like to improve.
1) I think you weaken your design by centering sentences or paragraphs of text. I think that your "captions" under the screen capture graphics should be left aligned.
2) Watch the breaking of text in "Instructors can easily embed multimedia in activities and link. . ." You should not have that large blank at the end of the second line of the bulleted item.
3) "Students can easily submit of tasks (on-line text, uploading. . .)" is not quite correct. It probably should say "Students can easily complete tasks and assignments (on-line text, uploading . . .)"
You are getting close!

Re: Moodle documentation: GHOP Issue 4 Produce a small brochure explaining Moodle to high-school staff
Hi Gustavo,
Thanks for designing a Moodle for staff brochure - it looks really good!
Thanks also to atw for reviewing your work and helping you improve it.
I am going to add your brochure to the Moodle cvs docs folder and add a link to it from the Moodle documentation wiki.
I'm also going to move this discussion to the documentation forum so more people know about your brochure.
Well done for successfully completing GHOP task 4.

Hi Jurgis,
Please note that Moodle brochures, together with their source files, are now available for download from Moodle Docs - Moodle presentations.
