That's the only solution I know. I have some very amusing effects when the Java code students submit (as text as part of a report) get interpreted as Perl.... This is a grave security issue, I am sure that some smart-aleck will figure out how to embed "DROP TABLES" into a text-report to cause some chaos.... if they then figure out how to submit a report that changes their grade we can forget Moodle until all the text submitted by the student is "escaped" and not executed.....
