How do you set up a forum with categories?

How do you set up a forum with headings, categories and so on? Like Moodle’s forum index, http://moodle.org/mod/forum/index.php?id=5

I’ve looked everywhere I can think of but cannot find a guide for this.

If you can just point me in the right direction that would be great.

In my course, I get that listing by using the activities block and clicking on "forums". It gives you a list of all the forums in the course and the summaries.

Give it a try and see if that is what you are looking for!
