The setup that we run is MOODLE 1.8.3 from 18th Oct 2007, Windows Enterprise Server x64 R2, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (tried with sp0, sp1 and sp2, no difference) php 188.8.131.52 and odbtp. IIS is all running in 32 bit isolation mode.
There are no 3rd party moodle extensions installed.
I've followed Andy Taglini's advice and turned on the debug options (set to all, not developer) and restored the course. Gave me some output, which I didn't know what to do with.
The output is attached as moodlebackup.txt. It does show a couple of thing that look like problems restoring stuff, but I don't know the source very well so can't help.
I've also opened up a bug on the tracker on 22nd October, but as of yet nothing's happened with it. The link for this is http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-11862
When I run the course now, there are errors in the page:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in M:\Inetpub\wwwroot\swansea1419\course\lib.php on line 1357
I've also tried MOODLE 1.8.1, 1.8.2 and 1.9 beta 2, all of which yield the same results.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so can you either let me know how to fix it, or add your details on here so that we have a couple more examples
