Incompatibilities Moodle pack and Windows Vista

Dear all,

I have tried to install the Moodle pack 1.8 + (MoodleWindowsInstaller-latest-18) in a local PC running under Windows Vista. At some point, executing the xampp_start file stopped the process.

By the other hand, I had installed flawlessly the same package in another PC running under Windows XP. This prompted me to ask if anyone has had the same type of problem, or if this is just a conflict in my computer.

Hi,

this may be a conflict between your rights on Windows Vista. Try it again with admin rights on vista. An other reason can be a port conflict. Try the port check at xampp. Further help for the xampp system at the apachefrieds-forums.
