Hi,
I have a couple of questions I'm hoping people can answer or point me in the right direction. I'm using Standard Moodle Wiki in vs 1.8+
1) When I create my first Wiki page it takes sometimes 1-2 minutes for it to save. When it does save it then gets stuck on a blank page. I did notice that the webaddress has the words "thank you" added into it but it times out instead of continuing. It doesn't always do this and it does it regardless of how many users are on.
2) I have a course (German 1) which has two sections. So I have one moodle course with two groups. I would like to create a wiki that both groups can edit and see both groups pages. Since I have seperate groups enforced this doesn't seem possible. Is there a workaround (ie. temporarily changing my course settings to have no groups, then setting up the wiki to have groups visible, and then going back to the course settings and changing it back to forced groups. I'm guessing that won't work...but I thought I'd ask anyway)
3) Is there a way to get rid of the Wiki Discription box that appears on the first wiki page...it takes up unecessary screen realestate
4) Is there a way to change sub page titles and still preserve linking? Is the only way to change the pages to create a new page title and then copy all the content from the bad page title into the new one.

Don't have the answer, but similar concerns. We are setting up Wiki and want to have all students in groups, working in the same course.
How can they enroll themselves into groups.
We want them to collaborate, and unite into groups of their own choice.
thanks,
Jon

Re: Moodle Wiki Beginner Questions
I'm afraid that the Standard-old moodle wiki generates a lot of problems since 1.7 vers.
The "standard" Wiki is Nwiki (standard in moodle 2.0 package). In this links you have some guides to replace Old by New:
