Installing and upgrading help

When I installed Moodle last night I got an error message, about halfway thru the process, saying that Moodle couldn't find a file and the installation halted.

After a good nights sleep I realized that it probably was a php memory problem. I increased the memory php can use for executing scripts (from 8M to 40 M) and the problem disappeared.

I don't know what other strange things might happen when available memory is low for executing php scripts but this is probably something one should keep in mind as one of the things to check out first if there isn't any other obvious reason for the error(s).
