Hi. I've been lurking in these forums for a while. It's been most informative. Nice to finally be out.
Recently, I have been collaborating with Chardelle on her rather ingenious site--though, thus far, I've been more of an idea guy (how annoying of me, I know) and haven't really worked in Moodle yet.
I strongly feel that Chardelle and I need to be able to customize our site for individual corporate clients, as she has expressed in this thread. I don't know PHP or other languages, but I can't help but believe that the following is possible: Have the end-user at each company log-in from a distinct page that has been customized for their company. From that page, set an image-selection cookie. Then, on the main site, have a retrieval cookie that, in essence says, "If no image-selection cookie is present, use default image in the top cell of the table. If cookie X is present, use image X. If cookie Y is present, use image Y. etc." This way, as long as the user accepted cookies, they would receive the customized version of the site. Ideally, the cookie also could be set to have the site use specific colors, too.
Okay. It may be obvious that I've never written a cookie, or that I don't understand the Moodle structure. But is this possible?
