In an earlier discussion there was also the suggestion of reverse-stickiness or repelling questions, in a block so that only one question would only be chosen randomly from the same block or pair. This can be done as things stand by creating a new quizcategory but that takes time and complicates thing.
There is a lot of interest in the quiz section of moodle but no funds. If everyone who voted in the quiz development priorities questionnaire gave $100 then we would probably be able to have all the additions.
