Moving course from WebCT

I have to confess to cheating.

My course is set up on an 'open' site - so that I can edit pages on the fly.

I have planted a 'course home page' in Moodle that has links to pages in this site.  It seems to work fine.

I could not understand the "Moodle flying weeks" - weeks that showed from today to seven days hence, rather than Monday to Friday, or even Sunday to Saturday.  And the weeks kept "falling off the top".  So instead I have a fixed agenda, shown in a table of weeks, into which i will edit events as needed.

I am not a fan of Dreamweaver!  I like agile, efficient pages that can be downloaded quickly over dial-up.  Netscape 7.2 contains Composer that is a simple, useful tool.  SeaMonkey is very similar.  If you like style sheets (and I do) then you can get good milage from NVU.  All of these are free, and do not try to lock you in.

If you have Dreamweaver pages in the clutches of WebCT, you have my deepest sympathy!

Cheers

John
