Unread Posts not displayed on Front Page

Hello,

I a number of 1.8.2 servers and on only one the unread posts don't display on the site or course Front Page. The forum tracking is turned on both for the Admin/forum activity and the user account(s). Could the issue be the theme? Is it a permission thing? The number of replies and unread display properly once you open the individual forum.

Check in the User profile, the setting "Forum Tracking" and set it to "Yes: Highlight new posts for me"
