Is this at all possible with the way Moodle talks to Active Directory.
We are using moodle mostly for company wide training, which is fine for the most part. We can just make everyone a member of the student group for the class. However, it is likely that many of our training in the future will be department specific. All of our users are already in groups for their department in Active directory.
I tried adding one of those groups to my student group for a class and ran the sync script and I saw an entry showing that it looked at the group and treated it like a user. I got the error "user 'Dept Group' not found".
Is there a way to get it to search through that group? Or is that something i should request as an improvement through Moodle Tracker.
