Roles and permissions

Hi,

I have some old classes in my course. I organized this in several groups (2007-1, 2007-2, etc).

I need to cancel the subscription of old classes (i.e. 2007-1) but I need to maintain the data (names, logs, files, everything about the class), but these users dont have access anymore to course. This is a dead file for academic control.

It is possible to make this on moodle. (moodle 1.7.x)
