'Bad Path Translated' error - can't get uploaded files..help please?

Here's a screen shot of our error message and a section from our config.php - could someone please throw some light on the problem - our ISP will not help us with path resolution issues...very many thanks moodlers!

Our problem is, whilst we can upload files and find them in the 'moodledata' folder in the root - we can embed them in our course pages - but when users click the link to open the resource we get that error message.   I am sorry - I didn't make that too clear above...

Any suggestions please?

I see someone posted a message about the same error back on 26th March. He was using claranet, and I gather you are too. It looks like the problem, and the error message, are specific to them. I'd insist on a better service, or move.
