I am getting the same error with Moodle version 1.7+ and 1.8.4 loaded on Windows server 2003 running IIS. I've tried using a Mac pc and have no problems accessing the student assignments with that computer. If I switch to a windows pc, I only have a problem when using IE, not FireFox. Any ideas? Also, I've checked permissions on the folder and all is the same as the folder above the moddata folder where I can download any file I want without any problems in any of the browser types. This tells me something is not right with IE, but what?
