Well, that is actually what we are currently doing, and will still do that probably. We are just trying to find a way of spending less hours tracking how many classes students are taking and more time on more important items... like the teaching and other administrative duties.
Our entire campus, administrators, instructors, and even myself, are completely volunteer and we don't want to burn out the good thing we have going, so tracking the number of classes of the 800+ students, in my mind, could be automated.
I don't know... maybe I can come up with a hack for Moodle that does such a thing if there is not one yet, but of course any ideas would be of great assistance.
