Hi
I am using moodle 1.8 and one forum is not allowing the students to reply the forum topic. How can i fix it ?
The select box asking if the student can reply or create new forum topics does not appear.

I think you´re talking about the social forum. there is no option to change the type of the forum. install a new forum and you will see your students can reply. see the help files in moodle too, there´s a manual about the different types.

Yes now i see that i can´t change the type of the forum.
I do create a new one using the type just one simple discussion and it works.
