Hi, I received a request from a teacher to create a database inside moodle, if there is resource like that.

She want to create a form that the students can fill, later when they submit the form, that information will be stored and displayed to all the course members when they require it.

for example, she is doing an Inventions Patent office topic. she needs a way that allows the students to enter their invention to the "patents system", later other inventors (students)  will check beforehand if their invention already exists, if not, they will proceed.

Another reques that will use that feature, is that they want to get information from teachers about conferences, so other teachers later can browse for an specific conference and turn in their feedback ; both actions via the form and the display feature.

Such a thing is possible under moodle?

I suggest them to use the forum, but the information will be all over the forum.
