Thanks for the code, unfortunately it had no effect. I changed the settings in the resource module and it has made an improvement so that I get what you see in the image below, the breadcrumb bar stays visible and no scroll bars are visible. There's a white gap below the bar which I'd rather remove but I think this is about as good I'm going to get it.
