In the quiz module, I had to delete a students grades, I mis-entered something and he needed to retake it. I checked the boxes for his grade, hit delete. His name is still there in the grade listing, with a score of 0, but it shows no time/score attempts.

If he tries to take the quiz again, he gets "Number of this attempt is different to the infinished one. It is likely that you have already submitted this attempt"

I deleted a sifferent student's grades and all went well, he was able to retake it.

How can I clear this attempt so the student can re-take this quiz? I can get to the tables and delete it, I just am not sure what table, and what to delete..

I reported a bug on that issue (Bug #1129 ) .

At the time I was just testing a quiz, so deleting the quiz cleared the error.

I don't think that's your solution, though...

I had a similar problem, and solved it by recording all grades of other students, then deleting ALL the grades. The student was then able to re-take the quiz.

If this is a possibility for you this solution may work.
