I recognize this thread is nearly a year old, but have there been any further developments on limiting the ability of a teacher to delete another teacher's posts?

Recently I needed to create a hidden forum for school administrators, meaning all participants had to be assigned at least teacher rights.  Unfortunately, this also means everyone has the ability to delete each other's posts.  Moodle is new to our district and I'd like to avoid any reason for them to doubt its capabilities.

Is there any hack available?  An ideal solution would be to prevent a teacher without editing rights from deleting posts.  Is this possible?  I'm using Moodle 1.4.3+ on OSX.
