I have attached a PowerPoint show to one of my courses as a resource, but only those students with XP can see the show. If they have Windows 2000 they can't see the show. It comes in looking like a corrupted file. Is there a reason for this? How can I fix this? I'm using a computer lab with mostly Windows 2000 computers.
Powerpoint 2003 is not backwards compatible - you should save it as a version that is compatible with the version you have in your lab
I'm using the same PowerPoint version 2002. The powerpoint opens on any machine by itself. The problem is only that it doesn't open from Moodle when it's been attached as a resource except from XPs
I got around the problem by converting the PowerPoint presentation to PDF and had no more problems. In addition the file is considerable smaller.
If I save it as a PDF file, it will no longer be interactive.
I solved the problem by updating my MS Office 2002 program files. I guess there was a Microsoft Fix that took care of the problem.
