workshop_list_teacher_submissions: unable to get submission

Wow, who would have thought technology could actually hinder language learning! ;) So today students were to post drafts for their peers to edit. Three students submitted and then tried to delete the draft they had deleted in order to upload a more recent version. They should have been able to as I had the 'allow resubmit' button set to 'yes' and yet they get this message

workshop_list_teacher_submissions: unable to get submission

and get bounced out of the class each time the try to enter the workshop. Any suggestions?
