myMoodle - student "portal"

myMoodle - student "portal"

I know a lot is being done w/ Moodle 1.3 and future releases.  Anyone have news on the development of myMoodle?  The idea of myMoodle being a one-stop user interface that displays all courses a student is enrolled, student profile information, etc. Basically, a dynamic page that "sits" above all courses, and is independent of any course?

Thanks,

Marc

In the future a student may be able to customize Moodles look in the same way that a teacher can do now, using blocks during setup. As custom blocks are created by future developers students are going to have even more options, a homepage after login that can be tricked out the they want it (myMoodle) could happen.  Such a page could allow students to have those features you mention, and a whole lot more. For example, they could select a local CD/DVD drive on their computer that Moodle would recognize for playback of rich media.  The new "blocks" format being introduced in 1.3 makes the imagination run wild with possibilities.  Moodle 2.0 will probably take this concept to a level where other learning systems will have to play catch-up. We owe Jon and Eloy a world-class THANK YOU for helping Martin make this happen so quickly.
