this is my first post. I have been testing Moodle for a while now. I have looked at the possibility to use a web site which provides access to some laboratory equipment.
Putting these pages into a SCORM runs me into the cross-scripting issue. I have used a proxy for to get around the problem, but find that it takes a little to much administration and fiddling for the course designer with scripts to create an extensible solution.
When I saw that you guys have made web services access to the core I saw some light in the dark tunnel.
I think about catching the SCO function calls and send them directly to a proxy at the laboratory which routes the calls to the desired endpoint where Moodle resides. That would take away the burden for the course designers.
The two frames would operate with different session keys, but if the moodle web service updates the scotables this would be ok, i guess?
I appreciate your comments on the idea.
