There is a bugs found in the Feedback Module for Moodle 1.7.2. The bugs is as follows:
Bug 1
When a teacher or a admin create the Feedback at the main site (I mean not creating the feedback in any course(s) inside the main site.) Anyone could be able to give feedback. (even though it is map to some courses)
Bug 2
The particular course id is not reflected correctly if the feedback is created in the main site. (even though it is map to some courses)
Would like to hear from anyone who can solve the above bug. Thanks

Hi,
- this behavior is just what I want. To avoid the direct access you just switch the feedback to hidden. So only users in the mapped courses can access to it.
- Thank you! You are right. I fixed it. The current download will show the correct id.
Re: Feedback: Moodle 1.7.2 Bugs Found
Thanks Andreas for your reply.
Problem [1]
I was wondering how you can switch the feedback to hidden mode. From what I know, there are 2 ways. One is to hide the particular feedback as shown in Figure 1, while another is to hide the whole module as shown in Figure 2.
(The figures are in a HideFB.zip file attach to this posting).
I was wondering if there are any other method(s) to hide the feedback so that only students from the course that I have mapped to will see the feedback.
Problem [2]
I was wondering if let say a student named John is in class A1, A2 and A3. However, a teacher have created a feedback for just class A1 and A2.
So, will the student John have to answer the feedback two times? (It will be good cause the questions might be asking how the individual class teacher's performance in Class A1 and Class A2 but is also bad cause the Feedback module will need to list down individual course-mapping to the student or else the student might think that he / she will need to fill up once for both classes)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Feedback: Moodle 1.7.2 Bugs Found
By the way, I have download the latest version of the feedback module. However, there are still some bugs (which I hope that it is not bugs). They are listed below.
Bug [1]
According to what you have reply earlier, the bug for the courseid was solved. But when I do a testing, the bug is still there. A student was inside a course (the courseid for the course is 7) but when the student when to click on the feedback to answer the questions, the courseid in the browser's status bar is '1'. That is why there is no filtering when the teacher want to see each class feedback. (In figure 1)
Bug [2]
Beside Bug [1], when the teacher export to the excel file, the excel file has some problem of showing the courseid as the header. It displayed as 'courseid' instead of 'Course ID'. (In figure 2)
For the both figures, please kindly refer to the attachment file in this posting. (The file is BugsFB.zip)
If there are anyone who know how to solve this problem or if there are any work-around methods, please kindly address them in here. Thanks.

Re: Feedback: Moodle 1.7.2 Bugs Found
Thank Andreas for the reply,
The Bug [2] has been solved in your latest version.
Issue [1]
I was wondering what you mean by feedback-block. I have turn on the activities block which I can see the Feedback module that I have created. Next, I also turn on the feedback block but I cannot add (or remove since I can't add) the feedback. [There is no edit function for me to add or remove feedback in the feedback block] (Is it possible to explain the feedback block management on the issue of mapping course in here?)
Issue [2]
Just another thing to note is that when the feedback (in the Main Menu) is switch to hidden mode, students who belong to classes that is mapped into the feedback are not able to see the feedback. I was wondering is it that there is some settings needed for the student account OR are there any other settings that is needed. (Probably, you can let me know what is the "best practice" for creating the feedback for certain student in the classes in here esp the feedback block ~ feedback activities block. I have read the posting link that you mention earlier but it seems that I still do not understand it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused)
Do hope to hear from your comments on the above issues. Thanks.

Re: Feedback: Moodle 1.7.2 Bugs Found
I just wondering if this is consider as a bug or there is no function for this. (See below for further information)
Problem [3]
I notice that other modules such as Chatroom Modules and the Assignment Modules will be listed in the Upcoming Event if the teacher have created a new chatroom or a new assignment for a particular class. However, when the teacher created a feedback, the feedback is not listed in the Upcoming Events. Is this a bug or the Feedback module does not have this function?
(If the Feedback module does not have this function, it would be nice if it will be included in the next version of the Feedback module.)
Thanks in advance for anyone replying this message.

Re: Feedback: Moodle 1.7.2 Bugs Found
Hi,
to show the feedback in the upcoming events you have to define a date for open and/or for close the feedback. Without this what should be shown?
