Hi all Questionnaire module users!
I am proposing an experimental "version 2" of the Questionnaire module (QMv2), with around 15 bug fixes and 30+ enhancement features. I have heavily tested this new version over the past 8 weeks, but some more live testing is needed before it can be approved and - hopefully - some or all of the proposed fixes and enhancements accepted by Mike Churchward and committed to CVS.
This is how you can help test QMv2.
You can test it online on my Moodle test site, log into the Questionnaire Module Demo course as teacher1, password teacher1 or teacher2, password teacher2 and answer, edit existing questionnaires or create your own. Teacher rights on that course are limited to editing and creating questionnaires, nothing else.
In order to test the questionnaires from a student point of view there are two students enroled in that course: student1, password student1 and student2, password student2.
In that Questionnaire Module Demo course you can view a complete list of my proposed modifications. You can also download a zipped file of all the files, if you want to install and test QMv2 on your own test site. No changes have been made to the database, so any existing questionnaires you have authored should work fine with QMv2, but please be careful before testing on a production site. Please note that a number of requests recently formulated on this forum have been integrated into my changes. Also, all language strings have been made translatable, and a French language file is made available along with the standard English one. This means a change from 145 to 210 language strings in the language files. Online help has been increased in the Edit Questions section, with detailed Help icons. Finally, a new default theme is provided, with quite a few new classes for better customizing. Pending full restoration of the CrossTabulation module (Mike is working on this), CrossTabulate analysis is not available in QMv2 at the moment.
In order to keep a trace of discussions related to the features of QMv2, I suggest posting your remarks on this forum, in this thread. I can also be contacted by messaging or at my e-mail address in my profile.
Looking forward to your remarks,
