Here is a little more detail. I have two glossaries: one is the main glossary (global) and one is a secondary glossary specific for a course. From the course, the secondary glossary (not global) has the words' definitions displayed from its glossary (as it is supposed to), but words that link to the main (global) glossary, instead of the definition display the term that links to the definition.
The problem seems to be the "&displayformat=dictionary" at the end of the link
ie.
http://openbook.kolel.org/mod/glossary/showentry.php?courseid=1&concept=Siddur
is missing. If you manually add this bit to the generated link the definition DOES display.
Easy instructions on how to modify the showentry.php script to add this snippet would solve the problem. Help anyone?

and that displays the proper definition.
However, when I click on a word in the course text that has automatic linking, the link is:
http://openbook.kolel.org/mod/glossary/showentry.php?courseid=1&concept=Siddur
which shows the correct entry- but requires a (in my mind, unnecessary) click.
