What does frontpage Backup and Restore in Ver 1.8 do? Does it back up the entire site? I backed up my front page and it was 145 MB. Anyone have an answer?

Not off hand no, but I suspect it may be backing up your Site Files.

There is a ticket open in regards to some issues with FrontPage Backup/Restore @:

http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-9829

Vote on it and/or comment there as well to better define this.  It appears that the Frontpage backup/restore actually puts frontpage into into a course within the new Moodle install instead of actually replacing the Frontpage.
