Restore from backup problem

Hi

I am trying to restore my courses from moodle 1.5.4 to 1.6. I have tried going from 1.5.4 to 1.8, 1.5.4 to 1.6.X, 1.5.4 to 1.7.X and I have had the same problem.

I backup the course which I want to restore, upload it on the new version to the restore folder and then clicking on the restore button normally would do it but I am facing this strange problem.

After clicking on the restore button it performs the task and says that the course has been successfully restored:

Course restore: backup-6752-20070426-1506.zip

    • From Resources
    • From SCORMs/AICCs
    • From Surveys
    • From Wikis
    • From Workshops
  • Checking course
  • Cleaning temp data
Restore completed successfully

But when I go inside the course page all I see are icons but no links or anything, refer to the picture attached.

Can any one help me please.

On 1.5.4 standard plugins are installed, been through a lot of forums but nothing helpful.

Thanks
Vickel

Oops. My post describes the same problem. When i tried restoring just now I noticed that all of the assignments were also listed under choices and labels were also duplicateed under something else as well.

Further to above, when I deleted the course I noted that the course was never restored fully at first. The log below shows that there were no labels, no questionnaires or basically anything to delete. Strange problem!
