Adding new discussion topics has stopped working sitewide.
The "Add a new discussion topic" button works. It brings up the form to fill and submit. On submit, though, instead of taking the user onward, the browser goes white and the discussion topic is not submitted. The address in the address bar reads "http://www.schoolnation.org/moodle/mod/forum/post.php" Replies can still be posted and forums can still be setup. Adding new discussions to any forum is not working.
I tried repairing the mdl_forum tables to no effect and no significant changes have been made to site settings. I also took a look at the last few entries in each table for any anomolies that might cause things to go awry.
I have had forums in several classes working for nearly two years now. I have the software updated as far as version 6.2 and plan to upgrade further over the April break.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I am willing to dig through post.php to learn more about how it operates, but I am anxious for advice as I am not much of a programmer.
