Resource types

For years I've been adding 'line break gaps' into my Moodle pages. These gaps are useful for separating out groups of links in a crowded topic.

I add them by creating a label and entering a single letter that I then turn to white to make it invisible (it ignores a simple line break entered into a label).

Simple enough but I do it so often it would be great if there was an option in the resource drop-down list similar to label but it adds the 'line break gap' automatically. I've tried playing around with a copy of the label resource to enter pre-defined text rather than offer up the editing window but I couldn't crack it. For once, though, the code defeated me.

Any suggestions welcomed.
