We are using Moodle 1.6.2 and set up a formative quiz that students can retake. It seems that the subsequent attempts only score for the answers that are different to previous responses, meaning that you get a score of 16 say for a first attempt then only 1 or 2 for a subsequent attempt, other questions previously correct do not seem to score. I have tried having each attempt build on previous, and using the highest grade, but I am a bit stumped with why i am getting this behaviousr. Any ideas?

Known bug. I think some aspects of it were fixed up to 1.6.4. Paulo Matos has done a bug fix of most of the remaining problems which has gone into 1.7.2, and 1.8. However, I am having problems merging some of the related changes it relies on back to the 1.6 branch. I thought I had done it, but luckily I tested first because I have broken shortanswer and numerical questions.
