I've been having a few problems with a new installation and had a long winded thread here.
Martin suggested reinstalling so I uploaded totally clean scripts and changed the prefix to get a clean set of tables. No difference. The scripts still die without warning - although I'm starting to learn when they will and when they won't.
I went to my own website (diff host) and uploaded the files, created the tables. Got a stack of errors about safe_mode but the user experience (as opposed to admin) was 100% as expected.
So, I have got phpinfo scripts available

Is this a problem because the Connection is set to close? Or is it something else?
